System Suite Professional 8: The power tool for bloggers

System Suite Professional 8, packs quite a punch. As someone who runs multiple blogs, I tend to spend a lot of time on the computer and in the Internet. It obviously takes a toll on my computer.
Some of my blogger friends argue that this is what computers are for. They are configured to toil for us, for long hours at a stretch… but just like every other piece of machinery, they need maintenance. I like to keep good care of my computer. I am sure you do too…
So I have a multitude of maintenance software installed on my computer, including anti-virus programs, anti-spyware scanners, firewall, junk file cleaners etc. They do a great job, but Jesus! The amount of system resources they take up is astounding! I always wished I had something that was lighter on the resources, while it was just as effective.
My search ended in System Suite Professional 8. As the name says, the software is a suite of different utilities. This includes:
- Virus protection — Virus Scanner Pro™ does pretty much what all other front line anti-virus programs do for you. It has a live virus block system. You can also perform a scan as per your convenience. Updates are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the updates are free for one whole year.
- Spyware protection — I am not aware of too many anti-spyware programs that offer live defense facilities for free (well, almost… considering the price of the entire System Suite Professional 8 is about 20 dollars more than a full service Anti-spyware program). This one does. The database covers not just spyware but also malware.
- PC Diagnostics and Maintenance — This is my personal favorite part of the software. There are close to 100 PC diagnostics tool that are included in this suite. Play around with them to improve your computer’s performance and to clean up the Windows registry. Then of course, you can do all your Windows tune up in one click. Yup—just use one of the several wizards that this program comes with.
- Data Recovery Tools — System Suite has a built-in “Recovery Commander”. It’s a nifty little tool that can help restore non-booting systems. Plus it has some valuable add ons too. For example, it can save and restore Windows XP and Vista data checkpoints. It also makes recovery faster and easier by offloading to an external USB drive.
- Disk Cleaner and Fixer — a combination of utilities that can clean up your disk space way better than your built-in Windows Disk Cleanup software.
- JetDefrag — The main utility of this defrag software is the time saving part. It is incredibly fast. Take it from me… I have used it, and it does a fantastic job in much less time than our conventional Disk Defragmenter.
- Secure File Shredder — If you prefer your privacy like I do, then you will like this. This tool is powerful enough to meet the US Department of Defense Security’s cleaning standards. Erase the files you don’t want others to see, and rest assured that it will not be recovered.
- Fraud and Phishing scam prevention — The system is called “Web Defense”. It works in tandem with search engines and blocks harmful sites. Protects open ports in your computer and blocks external attacks as you surf the Internet.
- Active Intelligence Monitor — This utility acts like a real time monitor of your computer’s activities. If it ever spots a red flag (It so far hasn’t spotted any in my computer), it will adjust your settings to avoid it. You will not have to do a thing while the AIM takes care of your system.
- NetDefense Firewall — It is a well known and dependable firewall, so I will not try and waste extra words to bring you up to speed with it.
You can download a free trial of this program and give it a try by clicking here.
Now the main question: What’s the price tag? Believe me, it will not pinch your pocket. The entire suite comes for only $59.95. If you decide to buy it before June 30th of 2008, you will get a 25% discount on this price.
Which effectively means you can get the entire System Suite Professional 8 for $45— less than the price you would pay for an anti-virus program.
